OK, you have to first understand that when we say “biscuit”, we are referring to “cookies”. In Britain, biscuits are cookies…and cookies...well those are things that keep popping up on your computer screen. That explained, this is an amazing no-bake cake/tart best served straight from the refrigerator. We can’t say how long it keeps because we have never had one last longer than 5 minutes before we are staring at a plate of crumbs. This is sometimes referred to as Royal Biscuit cake because without a doubt it is the Queen’s favourite tea cake. It was also one of two wedding cakes served at Prince William’s and Princess Kate’s wedding.
  • Price: $18.95 Quantity:
A Bakewell tart is an English tart made of a shortcrust pastry shell beneath a thin layer of raspberry jam, topped with a frangipane filling, and a topping of flaked almonds. Its name is derived from the town of Bakewell in Derbyshire, England.
  • Price: $12.95 Quantity:
A delicious “Shepherd’s” Pie made with beef. A true shepherd’s pie must be made with lamb (shepherd’s herd sheep, not cows). The potatoes on top resemble the roof of an English thatched cottage, hence the name. Ground beef mixed with a variety of vegetables, beef stock and Worcestershire sauce, all topped with creamy mashed potatoes and cheese. Simply delicious!
  • Price: $26.95 Quantity:
A mild sweet curry pie. Small dices of chicken, flavoured with coconut cream, ginger and garlic, encased in Dere Street’s shortcrust pastry. Serve with mashed potatoes and or a small side salad for a heavenly evening dinner.
